Rapper Bas says that AI won’t be an issue for a long time.

During a large AI conference hosted by Harvard, Bas says that AI isn’t good enough to pose a threat to musicians yet. Bas says that “AI never been to the club.”. In addition Bas claims that “The core of writing music, you're trying to evoke an emotion out of your audience, whether it's joy, heartbreak, whatever the case may be.". He says that because AI lacks real-world experience, it will never reach the level of emotion that human music has.

Apple says Logic Pro may have AI Music-Making Capabilities in the Future

With Apple’s big announcement of new technology like Apple pencils and iPads, they discussed the release of several new AI music-making tools that will soon be included in the DAW Logic Pro. The new tools include automatic instrumentation for things called “Virtual Players”, which are live adaptive loops. Things like drums and bass can now be generated by AI as automatic background instrumentation. Another confirmed addition is something called “Stem Splitter”, which can split individual audio files into separate tracks. It is capable of isolation separate vocal and instrumentation tracks.
