Positives and Negatives of Different AI types:
Reactive AI:
Reactive AI is very limited and is currently being explored. It has no memory and is task-specific meaning that an input will always deliver the same output.
Positives:
Functions the way it was programmed (ie. difficult to jailbreak).
Can perform tasks at speeds humans cannot match.
Cannot form decisions from the data to estimate their next actions.
Negatives:
Biased Algorithms
Unable to reason or consider beyond an interaction.
Can cause massive job displacement
Famous Example:
Generative AI:
Generative AI is currently the most powerful AI you will find today. Generative AI includes chatbots, image and video generation, and music generation.
Positives:
Creates a quick and simple way to get resources that would normally take time and money.
Helps move the future of technology forward by providing experience for machine learning
Simplifies large tasks that humans want to avoid.
Negatives:
Makes human uniqueness less unique, and can make things like art, music, and writing less valuable.
Threatens job displacement for lots of individuals.
Limits the pool of creativity in large scale media.
Theory of Mind AI:
Theory of mind AI is the next theoretical step for AI. It would have every capability humanity has but be better in every way, Theory of Mind AI is capable of recognizing emotion and empathizing with humans. Although Theory of Mind AI hasn’t been fully invented yet aspects of it have been replicated.
Positives:
Empathizes with humans
Adaptive
Decision-making equal/better than humans
Negatives:
Ethical issues about artificial life
Capable of human manipulation

Self Aware AI:
The final stage of AI is self-awareness, not only being aware of others’ feelings and mental states but also their own. Human-level consciousness and intelligence
Positives:
Better understanding of the human mind.
AI self-improvement.
Improved decision-making.
Negatives:
Unable to control it.
Privacy and Security issues.
Moral and Ethical Dilemma.
